Asmara is located at the center of Eritrea and in addition to being the capital city it is also economically and culturally the most active city. Here kicks off the StartAfrica project and production of its shirts Made in Africa.
StartAfrica now produces its clothing for third parties only in East Africa at Za.Er. Textile Company in Eritrea, giving job opportunities to over 500 people.
Za.Er. is the first textile industrial company in Eritrea. It produces over 360.000 Kg/year of twine using cotton from Africa: Burkina Faso, Mali, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia and Uganda. The objective for the next three years is to use Eritrean cotton in significant percentage.
